Yesterday I bought me a killer scanner/printer that I plan to use to do some animation tests in the upcoming future, since animating is fun apparently. I decided to use it now though for uploading some drawings I've done of late. My trip to Europe combined with John K.'s blog has really put me on a drawing kick.
Keep in mind, please, that my only training is a lifetime of doodling through boring classes and lectures. I know my skill is lacking, but it's only been a few weeks since I decided to take it a little more seriously and really learn some fundamentals.

This is a fountain in Luxemburg Gardens in Paris. It's a cyclops, though you can't tell from my drawing, since I didn't even notice it was a cyclops while I was drawing it.

Here's the best drawing (of four) that I did while in Paris. It's also a statue in Luxemburg Gardens. Laure de Noves.
This is from a few weeks later, after reading John K.'s blog and getting interested in cartooning.
I post these early bad drawings so that a progression can be seen. I was mostly emphasizing hands here, since I feel like they're one of my greater weaknesses.

The dark face here is one of the better toons I've done. I say this because it most resembles exactly what I had in mind before drawing it. I'm trying to get better at drawing people insanely mad. The eyes are crappy. I'm really bored with the cartoon eyes I'm drawing.
Seriously, what are the options with cartoon eyes?
The big circle with a little dot is driving me nuts. It's too Simpsons.
The donkey, by the way, is wearing a primitive pedometer.

I'll regularly post stuff. The idea is that an improvement will be seen in quality of work produced. I'll mostly be doing cartoon stuff for the next little while, most likely.
